First Competitive Season - 2008/09
The start of the season was ruined for the girls by their manager going AWOL and when the team was on the verge of collapse Andre Angstmann stepped in and the team went from strength to strength, winning 3-0 in his first game in charge and ultimately recording some extremely good results, the hightlight being a 3-2 win against loal rivals Wigton Moor after being 2-0 down at half time!
The girls also achieved a place in the WRGFL Shield Final but narrowly lost out 2-1 to Battyeford. This misfortune continued after the league campaign as well with the team reaching gala finals at both Leeds City and Wigton Moor where they, again, narrowly lost out, even on penalties at Wigton Moor.
If the girls ontinue to develop at the rate they are currently they will have a very good future ahead of them.
