After three years hard work we finally were in the top flight of The Garforth Junior League! We targetted a top 4 finish which we thought was a massive target but it's one we secured, finsihing 3rd, however with a bit more luck and a bit more experience we could have won this league. That said it was a remarkable achievement to finish so highly, above last season's top 2 as well.
We started the season with a 9-0 demolition of Churwell and recorder further excellent results including a 2-0 win v chapeltown, beating Rothwell 4-3, Wigton 3-0 and Wortley 3-2 throughout the course of the season. A particular highlight was the game away at Pannal, we were 3-0 down with 17 minutes remaining and launched an amazing comeback to win 4-3.
We were robbed away at Rothwell when 2-0 up at full time, bgut 7 minutes mystery injury time meant a 2-2 draw and we slipped up at home to Wortley, also 2-0 up and drawing 2-2. Holding on in either of them games would have meant a well deserved medal.
The season was completed witha  trip to Spain where we spent our days at theme parks, by the pool and finally playing CF Blanca Subur at an excellent facility just outside Barcelona - without doubt one of the best performances we've ever put on and ended the season perfectly with a 5-1 win.
