2009/10 Season - U12 Girls
Goal Post The U12 Girls team was a brand new team for the 2009/10 season. Launched during Girls Football Week in June 2009, 4 girls came to the first training session. Word spread quickly and the 8-girl squad played their first ever league match (WRGFL U12 7-a-side div 2) in September 2009, starting as they meant to go in with an impressive 2-1 victory away at Ossett Albion. New players joined throughout the year and the girls ended their season in style - an impressive draw against title challengers Norristhorpe Tigers and convincing wins away and at home against Middleton Park and at home against Ossett Albion providing the perfect end to an exciting first season.
