TRAINING STARTS AGAIN MONDAY 23RD AUGUST
6-7 at Soldiers Field, Roundhay Park. New players are welcome to come along and join in - wear shin pads and bring a drink. ALL PLAYERS WHO HAVE NOT YET COMPLETED THEIR LEAGUE REGISTRATION FORM WILL NEED TO DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (EITHER AT TRAINING 23/8 OR AS SOON AS THEY RETURN FROM HOLIDAY. NEW PLAYERS (JASMIN, BETH, SASKIA) WILL NEED TO BRING A PHOTOCOPY OF THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR PASSPORT.

MIDDLETON PARK GALA - SUNDAY 4TH JULY
Both NELFC teams played well at Middleton Park gala yesterday and the blues were unlucky to finish as runners up after winning every single group match then losing on penalties in the final. The clarets put in two solid performaces against Middleton Park, with Beth C playing well in her first match for NELFC. Well done to Rita for finishing as leading goalscorer for the U12 girls gala, and probably for the whole competition. Poor Jazzy had to miss what was going to be her NELFC debut after a stay in hospital - get well soon Jazzy, hopefully you'll be well enough to play your first match soon!

HORSFORTH ST MARGARETS GALA - SUNDAY 20TH JUNE
Well done to the U12 Girls for a great performance at Horsforth Gala yesterday. The girls narrowly missed out on the semis after losing 2-1 to eventual winners Horsforth A and holding York Railway to a 0-0 draw. This gala pitted the U12s against teams from the division above and, after a shaky start, the girls showed that they could match the more experienced and much taller teams. Well done to all of you and thank you to Horsforth St Margarets FC for a fun afternoon.
