ABOUT THE TEAM

WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF NORTH EAST LEEDS UNDER 9 BLUEBELLS.

2010/11 FIXTURES NOW OUT
The first round of fixtures have now been released. Check out the Fixtures & Results section for more information.

Teams in our league this season are Batley Tornados, Battyeford Sporting Club, Guiseley Girls, Hebden Bridge Saints and Wigton Moor.

PLAYERS WANTED - YEAR 4 GIRLS
The Under 9 Bluebells train on Saturday mornings 10-11 at Soldiers Field (Roundhay Park). If you are in year 4 at school (going into year 4 in September) and would like to join us please contact Laura Haynes on 07745 164 108 or lozhaynes@aol.com Beginners are very welcome!

YEAR 2 & 3 GIRLS
We have a growing number of girls who are in years 2 & 3 at school and are too young to play league matches. If this group continues to grow we will arrange some friendly matches next season against other teams of the same age. The Under 8s group trains with the Under 9 girls team on Saturday mornings 10.00-11.00 at Soldiers Field.

If your daughter is in year 2 or 3 and would like to join the Under 8s group for training and occasional friendly matches please contact Brett. If any parents would be interested in managing the younger girls team please contact Laura Haynes on 07745 164 108 or lozhaynes@aol.com or speak to Brett at training.

COACHES
The Saturday morning sessions will be taken by Brett Roberts and Dave Hill. Brett and Dave are FA qualified football coaches and Brett also has cricket coaching qualifications. Brett and Dave are Sports Coaching students at Leeds Metropolitan University and they use a lot of thei multi-sport coaching skills in the sessions to add variety to the sessions.

ABOUT US
We were formed in January 2007 and we achieved FA Charter Standard in July 2007 before a ball had been kicked! We started with one team - the under 11s who were promoted in their first season and since then we have expanded to run 14 teams.

We have fully FA qualified coaches, all hold their First Aid and Child protection certificates and have been fully vetted by the CRB Unit.

We also have a Child Welfare Officer to ensure the safety and welfare of the players is always maintained.

CLUB COLOURS
Our home colours are red and blue striped shirts, blue shorts and blue socks.
